Study Skills is designed to help students establish independent learning habits that will benefit their education in other classes at ERHS and beyond. Our focus will be on decision making, approach to learning, and mindset. We use the text Choosing a Good Road, by Dr. Jonathan Brennan, as well as the Character Development and Leadership curriculum, developed by Dr. Joseph M. Hoedel. Most class periods will include a warm up activity, a content lesson, and approximately 20 minutes for homework completion. These last 20 minutes are very valuable! You have an opportunity to get a head start on assignments with a teacher available to help answer questions. That said, you MUST be prepared. Come to class each day with homework and study materials.
